Oh man, we just got some rough mixes back of the album that Igloos and I recorded last month. We haven’t recorded any of the singing yet, but mercy, this is going to be one of the best things I did. This is one of my favorite moments, where I think it can really be said that a little bit of sloppiness makes it sound more fun and human than if it were perfect. I may just tease other little clips like this in the weeks and months ahead as we get closer to completion.
This is going to be a blog where I make (and solicit you to make) the least desirable song parodies.
Today, it’s a parody of “Mr. Bojangles” but it’s about Bo Jackson.

I’m trying to teach myself how to use Photoshop and made this junk based off of Joe Wengert’s super hilarious “Girardi’s Frozen Yogurt” video, which you should be watching right now.
I wasn’t exactly finished with some of the textures, and it could use a few more elves but I can’t make it stop saying that “Layers are Locked” and I don’t know what that means. Help me out, internet.

These previously unsung topics are among those on the agenda to get sung about: werewolf investigators, beards of bees, six-foot party subs, the relationship of foxiness to fuckedness, and Sqrums.
Igloos are: proud to claim influences from such bands as Guided by Voices, Wire, Beat Happening, They Might Be Giants, Devo, and Young Fresh Fellows.
